Recognized as the World’s Best Whisky Blender by the World Whiskies Awards, Dr. Don Livermore will guide us through the rich history, craftsmanship, and unique character of four iconic Canadian whisky brands—all produced at the legendary Hiram Walker Distillery in Windsor, Ontario, which has been crafting exceptional spirits since 1858.

Throughout the evening, we’ll explore the distinctive profiles of Pike Creek, Gooderham & Worts, Lot No. 40, and J.P. Wiser’s, uncovering why these whiskies remain some of Canada’s best-kept secrets. From traditional production methods to innovative maturation techniques, you’ll gain an insider’s perspective on what makes Canadian whisky one of the world’s most underrated categories.

Dr. Don holds a Ph.D. in Brewing and Distilling, created the Canadian Whisky Flavor Wheel, and has an incredible ability to make even the most technical aspects of whisky production approachable, entertaining, and just the right amount of “whisky nerdy.” His passion, humor, and depth of knowledge make every presentation as memorable as the whiskies themselves.

On a personal note, Dr. Don has long been one of my heroes in the whisky industry and has since become a dear friend. It is always an honor to host him, and I can’t think of a better person to introduce you to the incredible world of Canadian whisky.
